GrowCuisine Mission

Welcome to Grow Cuisine, this is the place where we expand our minds to the potential of a healthy living lifestyle spearheaded by the choices we make in the kitchen and ultimately what we put into our bodies for nourishment. It is all too easy to whack something in the microwave, nuke it and consume it. Far too easy to shove vacuum packed sandwiches down our throats. Ridiculously easy to eat candy and sweets at any time we are at a store counter falling prey to well positioned, well priced spontaneous purchase choices.

We know it’s wrong to eat too much of this stuff, but as the great Jim Rohn said “What’s easy to do, is also easy not to do” – A simple phrase that will stand the test of time. This relates to success as much as making healthy lifestyle choices, Jim Rohn was saying to do the easy thing with regard to setting goals and taking action towards them, because working consistently towards them is actually easy, it’s just a mindset. What we are saying here at growcuisine is that while it is easy to eat sweets and junk food, comfort food, if you make a firm decision to not do it, in time, it will become easy and just part of your daily routine!

What we need to do is to become a bit more conscious to how we feed our body, If you are ever feeling really low, it is often one of 2 things – poor diet and the thoughts you are thinking. There are lots of sites out there that share information on great recipes and the small kitchen appliances to get to help you make them, check out MamaZangs for some of this inspiration. What we will provide here is the basics in good foods to help nourish and vitalise our beings, life is about expansion and growth, if we’re not putting the right fuel in we won’t arrive safely or enjoy the trip as much as we could. FACT!!

If you have ever looked in the mirror and felt that you might have let yourself go, there are a couple of things that I think you should know,

1)It’s never too late – the only time you are past the point of no return is death! – As long as we’re still breathing we have a chance to change. Don’t ever doubt it. You may have to fight a serious battle inside your own mind to try and establish this change, but rest assured with a clear intention, concentration, patience and persistence, you can undoubtably change your body shape. We cannot change out features (naturally) but we can certainly trim back a few pounds through exercise and diet.

2)The reason behind the you looking in the mirror thinking ‘how did I get here’? And the you that could have been is all down to the prisons and limitations we have set for oursleves in our own minds. It seems absolutely crazy but it is true, if we’re unhappy or overweight or unfulfilled it’s because of our limiting beliefs, bad habits, social conditioning and so much more. Let me ask you this, if the subconscious mind never sleeps, what have you done to ensure that it has a clearly defined picture and destination in mind?

Chances are that you have not set out definite chief aims and clearly resolved that you want a particular outcome in life and resolved to achieve it, if there have been any times in life where this was the case and you can probably look back and realise it was achieved because you defined in your mind a picture of where you wanted to go, by way of attainment of some such goal and made damn sure you got it!

The thing with life is, is that it hits and it hits hard, harder than anything you’ll ever know, it’s the ultimate test where when you get to the end the few questions that remain boil down to did you live true? did you tune into who you are and why you are the way you are? and who was in control? you or your mind? who conquered who? that’s my take anyways.

There is actually a shift in conciousness going on right now whereby we are slowly beginning to realise that we really are in control of how we live our lives and how we treat our planet.  Although we all have conditioned responses and habitual watys of living, we can break the mould.  In fact, we are going to have to change whether we like it or not!  We have hit Peak Oil and food and resources are running out, one way of tackling this is to find new ways of growing food for consumption, this has lead many people, even the White House to start growing fresh produce at home, it is healthy and safe and will even save you money throughout the year. We will discuss this in detail and also offer advice on any garden tools we think would help you with your own growcuisine adventures.
